| Originating from the creative mind of guitarist and songwriter Voose, VMF first took the stage with an original sound in 2003. Due to extenuating circumstances(Manny got into a serious car accident, Jesse moved to Chicago...) VMF took a hiatus until the spring of 2004 when they reunited (with Dave playing bass) and have continued to dominate the stage ever since. Each hand selected musician brings a unique blend of sound and atmosphere to VMF spanning from jazz to heavy metal. The various musical influences form together to create a force that bridges the gap between, blues, funk, and rock fans across the globe. It the fall of 2004, VMF came out of nowhere to win PIXY 103's Garage Band of the Year on Cape Cod. If the spring of 2005 they enetered the Emergenza International Battle of the Bands and made it all the way to round 3, the USA regional finals. They played in front of about 2000 people and took 3rd place out of 200 bands in Boston. They also won best sound and visual performance. VMF continues to evolve playing the greater Boston area and plans on expanding to regional tours sometime in the spring of 06. |
