Thick As Thieves
Thick as Thieves formed following the untimely demise of the Boston noise-pop band, Sawyer. The summer hiatus found the bands lead singer and keyboardist departing for Los Angeles, effectively ending hopes of an autumn tour. Deciding not to abandon their past year of recording and touring, the remaining four members of the band returned to square one, rehearsing every night, writing new material and revising old numbers. It only took a short while to realize that a new sound was emerging, something that fell outside the bounds of their previous songwriting efforts. Within a month, Aaron Tyler, Mike and Todd had assembled a dozen new songs, booked a series of shows, and embarked on a new musical direction.

Thick as Thieves falls somewhere between the chaotic and the beautiful. From the pounding beat of Commuter Lot to the morning murmurs of Here's To Waking Up, the band spans a wide range of sounds. Their live shows run the gamut as well, jumping from delicate instrumentals to punk rock rave-ups, rolling through a set built on lingering harmonies and splintered guitar bodies. Unpredictable. Melodic. Sprawling. Epic. In short, the way rock and roll should sound
