Salme Dahlstrom
At 511 with platinum blonde hair, Salme Dahlstrom is not merely a charismatic show woman and a pretty face; she is a musical triple threat as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and prolific songwriter whose lyrics speak on a universal level.

Born in the countryside of Sweden, Salme began studying classical music at the age of four. She spent her teenage years writing songs and performing with numerous bands. "First time I performed on stage I was hooked", Salme says. "I knew then and there that making music and performing was what I was meant to do".

Salmes professional career began when she was signed to a publishing deal with EMI. While spending countless hours in the EMI studio learning the craft of producing and experimenting with numerous genres of music, Salme found artists like Portishead, Bjork, Madonna and the Chemical Brothers to be most influential on her sound.

She traveled to the U.S. in 1999 where she soon sparked a buzz in the music scene leading the NYC underground band, aboyandagirl, who were signed to Rufflife/Warner Records only a year after the bands creation. With Salme at center stage, an aboyandagirl show delivered live music with a passion and energy that matched the best.

With a new vision on the horizon, Salme returned back to the studio in the spring of 2003 to write, perform, and produce a new sound a hybrid of electronic rock that is best described as a fusion between Beck and Fatboy Slim.

The result is THE ACID COWGIRL AUDIO TRADE an EP featuring songs like Thinking About ItBaby and Superstar Car Crash - four minute adrenaline rushes that fuse pumping break beats with catchy pop melodies - a musical collision course that vibrates through the soul, lifts the spirit and will have you cruising in the fast lane.
Enjoy!
