The Vending Machine Heart is Jason Applin and Stuart Wills. They formed the Vending Machine Heart and started writing acoustic based songs after finding that they had a common admiration for many of the same songwriters - in particular Elliot Smith. The Vending Machine Hearts music has been described as two parts Elliot Smith to one part Simon & Garfunkel.
Jason currently fronts The Headclub who have recently released their first long player. In the 90s he was the lead singer of Bennett who scored a top 40 hit with Mums Gone To Iceland as well as recording two John Peel sessions.
Stuart is a singer-songwriter and an accomplished live performer and has just re-released his first solo album. In the 90s he was the lead singer of the band Sand and also lead guitarist in the five piece Savalis.
