Karmyn's kindergarten teacher recognized Karmyn's angelic voice as something special when she sang in a Christmas play. At age eight, Karmyn told her mom that she wanted to be a professional singer and actress on Broadway. She would sing at any social function and her cliche was "I'm cute, I can sing on pitch and I'm free". Karmyn won her first national pageant title and talent award at age 11 as Miss Texas National Pre-Teen. At 19, she entered the Miss Louisiana Pageant and won a preliminary swimsuit and talent award as well as the title of Miss Louisiana. She represented Louisiana at Miss America 1996 and won a Bert Parks Talent Award.

Karmyn's acting and musical background is the foundation of her ability to transport you from the seduction of moonlight to the heated swing of a Saturday night. Karmyns album entitled Karmyn Tyler shows her versatility and vocal range as she pours her heart and soul into this project and is all genres of music. From Summertime to Wait and See..big band, swing, smooth jazz, torch music and adult contemporary.

She is a professional actress/singer and has done numerous regional and national commercials and co-starred in the movie Alabama Love Story with country music artist Mark Colley and in the TV Lifetime Movie Inspector Mom with Danica McKellar from the Wonder Years. Karmyn appeared on Walker, Texas Ranger and Just Shoot Me and Ed McMahons Star Search. She has several theatre performances to her credit and was Guenivere in Camelot and Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense. Karmyn has recently been cast in a Stephen Sondheim musical production at the Strand Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She is a member of Actors Equity (AEA), Hollywood chapter of Screen Actors Guild (SAG), National Academy of Arts and Science (The Grammys), National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and Lifetime member of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity and listed on IMDB. Karmyn has Fine Arts degrees in Music and Drama and a BAAS from Texas A&M

Karmyn is a former Miss Louisiana and talent winner at Miss America and has judged numerous state and national pageants and was on the judges panel that selected Miss Texas Outstanding Teen who went on to win the first Miss Americas Outstanding Teen.

Karmyn currently travels as a professional vocalist and actor and recently signed with a Los Angeles agent.
