Aaron Derington
Aaron Derington began playing music after inheriting his uncle's antique xylorimba at the age of eight. He joined the school band as a percussionist and later took piano lessons. In high school he studied drum set with John Cushon and Keith Larsen as well as learning jazz theory from bassist Gerald Spaits.

He attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and participated in percussion ensemble, various jazz groups, and an experimental music group called Musar. During this time, he studied under Lawrence Kaptain, Tommy Ruskin, and Todd Strait.

Aaron plays with various bands in the Kansas City area including Meep, An Anonymous Project, Howard, The Sean McNown Band, The Mystery Dates, and Lodi. He has a CD of electronic and experimental music titled Plethora which can be purchased at cdbaby.com. Aaron lives with his girlfriend Susie and four dogs.
