Seraphic Panoply

Seraphic Panoply Seraphic Panoply Bio:

Seraphic Panoply -- Angelic Armor -- is a one man project to create background and production music mainly for the podcasting community. So, if others find use or enjoyment in what I create then woohoo!!

As a podcaster I found it hard to find music and production audio that wasn't "pay for play." So, like others I had to resort to creating my own. Turns out it's almost more fun making audio than the podcast.

It should be noted that I am not trained musician. So a lot of what I do is by feel. Some will find the occasional inconsistency appealing, others annoying. But it is what it is eh?

I am open to criticism, ideas and special requests. But, bear in mind this is a hobby for me.

Peace be with you

Sort of back..... - posted: 27 Apr 2008 06:40 PM

Things are a little slower now, and I kinda regret letting go of my domain. It appears that it was scooped up the day it expired by someone over seas. I'm working on restoring the downloads at a new site: http://www.effigyofseven.com It'll take a while, and I'll probably start doing a new release once and a while later this year. I'm also posting artwork there. Currently, what creative free-time I have is being devoted to learning about 3d art.

In the coming weeks, I'll be shutting down my main SeraphicPanoply.com website. Unfortunatley, things out in the real world are consuming my time and I need to be focused on that. Hence why I haven't posted since November. If you need to reach me you can use the contact link here. I plan on leaving music here until they kick me off.

Cool thing is I have some more new toys to play with going into the fall. I've also decided to change things up a little bit on the main site, I'm going to start offering short loops and such that I have put together. The idea is to also support the indie gaming community. I'll proivde more updates as I go along. I have been crazy busy over the past few months and had to put my next "Album" plans on hold. I'm gonna get back into it in the coming weeks. I expect a few releases for July. I have had lots of requests from folks for tracks that support a fantasy theme. So, that's what the Darkshore Collection will be about. So if you have any specific requests, now's the time to get them in. I appreciate everyone's continued support. -=Brian

SP Webstream.... - posted: 17 Apr 2007 11:20 PM

I put up an Internet stream that loops my catalog of tracks. Why would I do something like that you ask? Because people asked for it -- indirectly. A few folks have emailed and commented about leaving my main website's media player open in the background so they could hear the entire library. I figured why not just provide a web stream. It's easier to manage than another browser window anyway. Windows Media, iTunes, WinAMP and Real Player are welcome. Enjoy! ---------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget there's lost more to download over at: http://www.seraphicpanoply.com.

I think it's time to put the In2 the Dark album to bed and I would love some suggestions for the next one. I have ideas, but really want to hear what you think should be on it. Feel free to suggest a title too. Lastly, it's getting close to house cleaning time again. My page here at podsafe is getting overfull and loading slower. Feel free to send me suggesitons for songs to relocate to the back catalog this round. ---------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget there's lost more to download over at: http://www.seraphicpanoply.com.

5 New Songs - posted: 04 Apr 2007 12:26 AM

Hi there, sorry I have been gone so long. Between family, career, education and former WoW addiction, I have been pretty busy. I also got some new software and gear that allows me to create more complex and better quality stuff for you guys. Hence, I'm on the low end of the learning curve again, but so far the results are equal if not better in my eyes. So on to the reason you are hear and reading this. Folks really enjoyed Creepers Jeepers -- especially some of you fine paranormal podcasters. Well here are two new songs for you. Follow the Orbs is good for a feature/podcast intro or bed and it talk-over friendly. Sunday the 15th is good for a feature/podcast intro though not talk-over friendly until :50. I have also received requests for Sci-Fi and Fantasy. If these do well and I get more requests, I'll make more. Anyway, If you need something for Sci-Fi then check out Inner Space. It's somewhat of a stand alone piece, but since it's 1:30 long you could edit it and use it for an intro, outro, talk over. It's pretty flexible. If you need something for Fantasy, Natural Open is a shorter (:30) piece that would do good for an opener and you can talk over the ensemble at the end. Lastly, for you Rocker's there's Bill's Theme. Over-driven guitar and sinister laugh anyone? It's a little Jet Bed, a little Jammin' Intro, unique unto itself. If you want a version without the SFX, or the voices, or a dervative... email me via the contact page. Bill's Theme, like Inner Space and Saturday the 15th and Follow the Orbs were originally written for my friends over at Broken Sea Audio Productions. You should drop in and visit them http://www.brokensea.com. They are currently producing original and fan fiction audio dramas. Good stuff. And, no I'm not just fluffing them 'cause they use my stuff. OK, enough reading, go download some music :-) -=Brian ---------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget there's lost more to download over at: http://www.seraphicpanoply.com.

2007 -- it keeps getting better! - posted: 28 Jan 2007 04:31 PM

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! The past year was a smashing success. If someone had told me I would be in the Top 50 artists by the end of the year, I would have told them they were full of crap. But, here I am. Thanks to folks like you. What's more important than the number is that I have achieved my ultimate goal of producing tracks that people from all over have used as part of everything from podcasts to radio dramas and school slideshows to short films. It's amazing. Thank you. I've got some new audio just about ready and have been asked to help on some more formal projects. So it just keeps getting better. Rest assured though that a healthy supply of audio will be available here and on my website for your use in 2007. -=Brian p.s. Don't forget to check the back catalog for songs that have moved.

Time for a little decluttering. Later today I will move the 15 of the 33 posted songs from here to a back catalog on http://www.seraphicpanoply.com. This way I can make room for new things I have done and am working on. They will still be available for download in 128k mp3 format from there. While trying to figure out which ones to move, I discoved that on average 74% of the time you listented to a song you downloaded it too. All I can say is WOW - thanks! The relocating songs are: AfterHours Ambient Overdrive Creepers Jeepers Dark Sequence Elation Ethereal Engaement Ethereal Engaement II Geek's New Gruve Godly Minute Jammin' Intro Jazzimodo Smooth Getaway Time's Running Out Tracy's Lament Trancecode Urban Attitude Don't forget, these songs will still be available for download and preview on http://www.seraphicpanoply.com Cheers, -=Brian

I'm not sure if I'll make them available for download at the seraphicpanoply.com website or just ask people to email me and then I'll send the track directly. Feel free to comment. But they have succeded in peeking my interest and their user community is growing rapidly. You should give them a visit.
